2011 Rebisco Group of Food Companies Christmas Outreach Program
December 21, 2011 was truly a day to remember for Rebisco employee-volunteers and 69 lolos and lolasfrom Anawim Lay Missions Foundation and Kanlungan ni Maria Home for the Aged. Fun games, singing of Christmas carols and popular songs, and bonding moments completed the spirit and warmth of the yuletide season.

This is what the Rebisco Group of Food Companies Christmas Outreach Program is all about. This annual program aims to promote employees advocacy of sharing their blessings to the less fortunate individuals of society and serve as a channel for the company to live by its mission of providing support to communities and be part of nation building. It is the time of the year the company and its employee, in their own little ways, gives something back to the community.

For 2011, the focus of the program was to assist institutions that look after the welfare and needs of neglected and abandoned elderly. Even for a single day, Rebisco and its employees make the elderly feel loved and cared for. They return the gratitude by expressing their feelings and aspirations to the volunteers. Some of them even shared their personal recollection of how Rebisco, through its products like Marie and Rebisco Sandwich, had become part of their lives. One could easily sense their happiness of being with family not only because of their numerous thank you but most especially with the smiles on their faces.
The RGFC Christmas Outreach Program has indeed reaffirmed that Rebisco has become part of the Filipino family life. As one lola aptly said upon receiving her Rebisco Gift pack, Hindi lang ito pambata, pang matanda rin. This is truly a testament that Rebisco and its products bridge generations, past and present.
