Rebisco Supports DepEd in Advancing PISA Readiness of Filipino Students
The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a powerful reflection of how well education
systems are preparing students for the real world. Designed to measure 15-year-old students’ ability to
apply knowledge in reading, mathematics and science to everyday situations, PISA provides countries a
clear picture of the yield of their educational investments.
For the Philippines, the journey with PISA has been both challenging and motivating. This year, our
learners are still about to face an uphill climb, but with the full support of the Department of Education
(DepEd).
To help uplift these learners, Rebisco stepped in with a simple yet meaningful gesture of providing
snacks for them from January to March 2025. For 10 learning sessions, 210 students across 70 schools in
three regions, all of whom were taking part in specialized review sessions to prepare for PISA, received
some of our well-loved products. Hundreds of cases of assorted products such as Fudgee Barr, Hansel,
and Jumpee offered a boost of energy and encouragement to all.
This initiative supported DepEd's broader efforts to prepare students for PISA. Rebisco proudly played a
role in showing our learners that they are not alone, and that their country and communities are rooting
for them.
As learners gear up to represent the Philippines on the global stage, every act of support counts. We
look forward to the results of this year's PISA, with pride at our partnership with DepEd in preparing for
the monumental event.
