Rebisco Champions the Bayanihan Spirit through the 2025 Brigada Eskwela
As schools across the country prepared for the opening of classes last June, the Department of
Education (DepEd) launched the nationwide Brigada Eskwela, rallying communities around this year’s
theme: “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa.”
At the heart of this initiative is the shared goal of creating clean, safe and nurturing learning
environments — spaces where learners can thrive academically and socially.
True to its commitment to educational support and community engagement, Rebisco took part in this
nationwide effort of helping DepEd champion the spirit of bayanihan through meaningful contributions
for the benefit of students and teachers alike.
Brigada Eskwela is driven by volunteerism where teachers, school administrators, parents and students
roll up their sleeves to help one another prepare school classrooms and other facilities before the school
year starts. To keep this spirit fueled, Rebisco provided snacks to over 248,000 volunteers across the
country, from the northern tip of Ilocos Norte to the southern province of Lanao del Norte.
These small but meaningful snacks served as tokens of gratitude to the volunteers who gave their time
and effort to make a difference for the young school learners.
We are grateful to our employees who went the extra mile by volunteering at Oranbo Elementary
School, Pasig City, where they personally handed over essential Brigada Eskwela supplies such as paints,
fluorescent lamps, and doorknobs. These donations helped refurbish 64 classrooms which improved
physical conditions, making the schools more conducive for learning.
With every classroom built, every helping hand extended, and every ounce of support given, we hope to
inspire children to embrace learning as a lifelong journey.
