Rebisco-sponsored Alas Pilipinas Beach Volleyball Team Makes Herstory With SEA Games Gold

A breakthrough moment for Philippine beach volleyball unfolded at the 33rd Southeast Asian

(SEA) Games as the Rebisco-sponsored Alas Pilipinas Beach Volleyball Team captured the

country’s first-ever beach volleyball gold, stunning eight-time champions of Thailand at Jomtien

Beach in Chonburi, Thailand. The victories of Sisi Rondina, Bernadeth Pons, Dij Rodriguez, and

Sunnie Villapando ended Thailand’s 22-year reign and marked a defining milestone for the sport.

Following this achievement, the team paid a courtesy visit at the Rebisco office last December 22,

where they were warmly welcomed.
