Rebisco Holds a Coastal Cleanup Initiative in Cavite

It was an afternoon well spent for 95 employee volunteers, as they shared their acts of kindness by

taking part in a coastal cleanup activity in Tanza, Cavite last July 2023.

The coastal cleanup is the first Health, Safety and Security cleanup collaboration activity led by our

Manufacturing Health, Safety, Security and Environment team. The monthly activity is one of our

environmental projects, and is supported by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and

the Sahud-Ulan Tanza, Cavite Local Government Unit.

Our employee volunteers gathered 285 sacks of trash, with an approximate weight of 5.7 tons.

The objectives of the activity were met — the volunteers manifested care for coastal surroundings and

promoted a culture of health and safety through the cleanup activity.

This environmental pursuit would not be possible without the team efforts of each one. We hope to

instill the ‘malasakit sa kapaligiran’ value in our Rebisco volunteers through their participation in these

waste reduction collaboration activities.
